Ways To Save Money At The Dispensary

Visiting the cannabis dispensary can be a lot of fun, and most dispensaries have a whole array of unique products to try. But sometimes, you may not be able to afford to walk out of the dispensary with $300 worth of new goodies. Does that mean you shouldn't visit entirely? Of course not! Here are some easy ways to save when visiting the dispensary.

Ask about mids

Of course, everyone wants the highest-quality cannabis with the highest THC concentration and the prettiest trichomes. But if you're on a budget, you may want to take a break from the high-end stuff and ask the budtender if they have any "mids." Basically, this is mid-quality marijuana. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but its THC concentration may not be quite as high, and the flavor may not be anything to write home about. You may need to smoke a little bit more to get the same effect, but you can and will get the same effect. Since mids are in such low demand, many dispensaries sell them for much, much less than you'd pay for the highest-grade bud, making mids a perfect option when you're tight on cash.

Look for popcorn buds

Another option is to look for popcorn buds, which are buds that are on the smaller side. These are typically the same, specialized strains that the dispensary sells otherwise, but the tiny buds have been sorted out and set aside. They're not visually impressive or as fun to break apart, but once they're all ground up, they're the same as big buds! Popcorn buds tend to be in high demand with bargain shoppers, so most dispensaries put them out in the morning and sell out within hours. Make sure you arrive early if you want to catch this deal.

Buy one or two larger edibles

If you prefer edibles, then here's a smart way to stay on budget. Instead of buying numerous lower-dose edibles, buy one or two large-dose edibles. For example, if you would usually buy twenty 10-mg gummies, buy one 200 mg brownie instead. Then, when you get home, divide that brownie into twenty pieces, each of which should contain 10 mg of THC. You typically pay far less per dose this way.

If you need to keep your dispensary spending in-check, the tips above are a great way to do that. Also, keep your eyes out for any sales! You may be surprised what's marked down when you visit.
