My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was in junior high school. The cancer was pretty advanced and it meant aggressive treatment, including a full mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. As young as I was, I went to every appointment with her because I wanted to understand the process. After her treatments were finished, I spent months researching what it all meant and how it worked. I've created this site as a way to help others understand it as they watch a loved one undergo cancer treatment. I hope that this blog provides some insight for you in your journey.
